What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First the student will be evaluated regarding any probable injuries or any health conditions they may have.
The next level would be analysis of their strengths and weaknesses and knowing how much they want to improve their game and what their expectations are.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am also a medical doctor, however I don't practice yet
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Class duration: 1 hour
Personal trainer for single player: $35
More than 1 player (maximum 4): $50
Only cash is accepted in advance to book 10 sessions: (single player: $350 and more than 1 player: $500)
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching in Illinois as couch assistant and gradually started teaching as an independent instructor.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have had students of all ages from 5 yo to 75 yo
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice is to learn tennis the standard way with an instructor. Otherwise it would be difficult to correct what is already in your muscle memory.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should know about their expenses, for instance how much they want to spend for a tennis racquet.
