About
I am a professional opera singer with over 25 years’ experience working internationally. I have 12+ years’ experience teaching studio voice at the university level. I am a current member of the voice faculty at Yale School of Music, and previously taught at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I specialize in training high schoolers getting ready for college auditions, college students getting ready for grad school auditions, connecting the voice and the person, and working with persons who have had or are considering bariatric surgery.
I love teaching voice technique and helping my students find their true sound in the healthiest way possible. I also love exploring the mind/body connection in singing. My passion is helping people feel good about themselves as they learn to love their own voices.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We begin by discussing goals, issues, areas of technique or mental game requiring attention, and then focus intensely on breathing. A significant portion of the lessons is spent working on technique. We also assess repertoire, voice type, and other matters pertaining to your “package” as a classical singer.
