Hey there! I'm John Alvarez, I’m a 21 year old college student with many years playing volleyball, basketball, and soccer. I’ve coached many athletes ranging from beginners to advanced in these three sports. The ages ranging from 5 years to 18 years old. I like to keep sessions very personalized and engaging and do great with beginners. I love sharing and building passion for these sports and hope to encourage upcoming generations to try new things.

I live and went to school in New York, obtaining a BFA in Music from the City College of New York and a MM in Jazz Performance from the Aaron Copland School of Music. As a trumpet player, I have played in a wide variety of musical settings, including jazz combos and big bands, concert bands and orchestras, Latin and salsa bands, and even the occasional rock band. Hello... I am Tim of Tim's Tennis Tribe. I have been organizing tennis gigs since 2014, year-round. I am a member of USTA Coaching (working on certification) and USTA Adaptive tennis where I volunteer to coach handicapped people of all ages and abilities. I love tennis because I am always working to improve elements of my game and assist my friends on their journey. There is always something to work on. My Tribe's weekly play usually focuses on low-pressure rallies. I believe, brining the ball back into play, even if out, is a great experience.
