Hi, I'm Courtney Stallings. I began professionally training as an actor at 15. I have my M.A. in Performing Arts and Social Justice, and my M.F.A. in Acting. I have been acting consistently since 2011 in New York, with work spanning theatre, film, tv, and commercials. I started CutAbove Studios this year because I love actors and want to help them grow their careers. At CutAbove we coach actors on achieving their goals, and I offer services of audition coaching and ongoing acting coaching. I work from script analysis and a combination of techniques and methods learned over the years through all of my training. I am also actively in class as an actor, always learning how to strengthen my own skills, and supporting other actors to do so. Coaching applies to all work — film, tv, commercials, and theatre. It's most important for me to find the joy in the work when coaching, and to create space for the actor to find their truth in the material.
