I am really passionate about music, especially the violin. I have played professionaly in orchestras since the age of fourteen. As of recent, teaching violin, as well as beginner piano has become my main focus. I am a Suzuki trained teacher. My Suzuki training has really taught me how to structure my lessons in a step by step fashion. However, I don't rely only on my Suzuki training. O. DiBella Music is a 107 year old musical instrument retailer that is in its third generation as a family business. Our knowledgable sales team and superb teaching staff are ummatched. Our service stands out because we consistantly go above and beyond to satisfy our customers.
For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. I then mix it with Suzuki books and basic music knowledge. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Sometimes they have their own choices of songs they want to play / perform and share with the family, so I focus on exactly what my student wants.
