About
Hello!!! My name is Tameka. I have been cooking since the age of 12. I have been cooking professionally for six years. I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu culinary school, and have made it my business to get my hands in any and all venues as far as culinary is concerned. I like to take my time with my students and speak with them to help them customize a learning plan that fits them, so that they will be able to acheive all thier culinary goals. I like to try different approaches to learning such as being very hands on, as well as giving literature for my students to read, and keep as a reference.
I love what I do!!! I have such a deep passion for all things food. I love to read about, watch different shows, talk about, and explore. Every culture has their own unique spin on food, and I want to learn, and know more about it. I have worked in many restaurants, bed and breakfasts, catering, and personal and private chef. I find that as an insturctor, not only do I get the opportunity to welcome someone into the world of culinary, but I also get to learn more too. I find joy, in watching my students learn, and conquer any fears, or trepidation they may have towards food.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to have a conversation with a potential student. I try to find out what it is they are actually looking to get out of taking cooking classes. Is this just for fun? Are they considering working in the field? I also find out what if any is their baseline, do they know how to chop, slice, and so on
