Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
In the beginning we chat about goals and expectations. On the first session, we build rapport and is meant for the student to have an enjoyable experience. Throughout the class (depending on goals), there is an evaluation on anatomical imbalances and areas of growth. At the end of class we give each other feedback and by next class, I will create a personalized, doable program.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been teaching dance (ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop & salsa) for the last 15 years. I have worked with toddlers, teenagers and adults of different levels. I started my training in Mexico and then studied at The Martha Graham School and Peridance in NYC. In my mid 20's, I was trained as an aerealist and circus performer. Later on, passionate for fitness and teaching, I got certified as a Group Fitness Instructor.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard price is 40dlls per session or 5 classes for 150dlls (at teacher's studio).
I also do tandem sessions at a more affordable price per person.
How did you get started teaching?
I got offered to teach by my school director.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I know a one-on-one dance class can feel vulnerable, but it's undoubtedly, the best way to take your dance into the next step.
