Thanks for visiting my listing. I am JT and I want to teach and help you become the best actor Thru song as you can be. I am from SF, CA and studied at ACT in SF. Went to Northwestern University for music and theatre i moved to LA for 18 years and worked on over 200 tv and film projects there mainly all things song and dance. and now i reside in NYC. I currently am a director and choreographer for many live stage shows, TV film and commercial projects. I have performed choreographed and created shows for Broadway off broadway tours and many LA film and TV projects. Some of my favorite shows i have worked in are Grease On Broadway, Tommy international, White Xmas, 42nd Street, Chess, Falsettos, Liza Minnellis and Bette Midlers tours Ricky Martins Music videos Dancing with the stars, The Sing Off on NBC, and all the work I create at Madison Square Garden. And i loved my new off broadway production of Cleopatra the EDM musical.
My passion is finding a character within a song or piece of choreography and making detailed choices to bring that character to life.
my story telling Thru song journey is one of the only programs to focus on acting technique Through song. It's all about making the moment real. Treating the lyrics as if a monologue or conversation bringing the character to life. I combine the proper vocal techniques with the emotion and motivation behind the lyrics. My students and I create stories together in aid to get them thru their vocal performances and auditions in a very real, human and organic way. I coach many Broadway singers and dancers as well as talented students from universities, conservatories, arts programs and high schools around the country. Students goals vary. Some for stage some for recording and some are actors and dancers who just need confidence and a means to approach singing a song which is out of their box of comfortability. I have been a music and dance instructor, a stage director and choreographer and a film and TV producer and choreographer for over two decades. I was, myself a music major in college and a performer in Broadway and touring shows, artist concerts TV and film projects. I have taught at the best schools and studios in the world and want to share my experience and knowledge to help you get to the next level.
