About
Specializing in teaching children ages 2-7 our approach to learning to swim is fun and adapted specifically for your child's needs. We also do swim team prep and distance training for advanced older swimmers. I hold a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification, as well as Red Cross CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguarding. I also am privately insured.
I love working with children. They brighten my day so much and I feel like I am making a difference in their lives when I teach them to swim. Swimming is such a valuable life skill that I think every child should learn to do.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I speak to the parent on the specific needs of the child and swimming level. During the first lesson it's mostly about getting the child comfortable with me and focusing on the basics so I can better determine their level. From there I devise a lesson plan specific to the swimmer. Every class ends with 3-5 min of fun time, for the younger ones I bring floating toys to play with in the water, and older ones will do jumps, play a game, or dive for sinking toys.
