About

I have been playing tennis my whole life. Moved from Italy to the United States at age 16 to play at Evert Tennis Academy in Boca Raton. Recruited to play tennis at Marist College, I played Division I tennis, and was nominated captain of the team, leading to 3 MAAC Championship Titles during my career. Currently working in Financial Services in Manhattan, looking to teach tennis and share my passion for the sport.

I love tennis and teaching young athletes, as well as adults, improving their strokes and their game to reach their highest potential.

Matteo helped improve my techniques of various ground strokes, forehand, backhand, volley, overhead etc. He did a great job teaching me new skills but also motivating me at the same time. He helped refine my swing, fine-tune my serve and advance my skills into the player I want to be. His lessons are curtailed around the needs and skill level of each particular student. The time he dedicated helped me achieve my tennis goals.

He was compassionate teaching, was a strong enough player to drill with, and was energetic throughout our time on the Court

    Frequently asked questions

I typically like to discuss the students' goals, as well as have a few sessions to understand their level, and where we could work on to improve their game.

I like to keep the lessons fun, with games, as well as technical tips.

-won 30/40 tournaments between singles and doubles since the age of 13 years old, both in Italy and in the United States

-nominated Captain of Marist College Division I Tennis Team for 2 years in a row

-led team to 3 MAAC Championship Titles

-nominated Student Athelete of the Month by Marist College

-nominated First team in singles and doubles in MAAC Conference

-nominated Player of the Week in MAAC Conference

Depending on the level, and depending on whether the students come to me or I go to themm I typically charge around $90-$200 per one hour lesson.

Price could vary depending on distance to travel to student and number of students in the class.

I started teaching in College, thanks to my coach who connected me to some of his students

I have worked with young players looking to play in College, as well as older adults looking to improve their game

I am fond of the Championship I led my team to win in 2015. We were considered the under dogs of the tournament, but we ended up coming out on top, showing an incredible team effort.

I would say that they should hire someone they relate to and someone that shares their passion for the game as much as I do
