This class is an introduction to percussion instruments. Students are going to learn the basic stick and drums techniques.

This class will include an introduction of reading music, and will use basic grooves, patterns , and rhythmic exercises. Students will learn how to play with others performing percussion ensemble pieces.
INTERMEDIA PERCUSSION (private/ REMOTE ONLINE/Group)
This class is dedicated to students with a previous experience with drums. Students are going to learn different sticks and drums techniques.

This class will include more advanced methods and books of reading music.
DRUM SET PRIVATE LESSONS (All AGES/REMOTE ONLINE/ Private)
This class is dedicated exclusively to the drum set. The student will learn coordination exercises, snare drum basic technique, the use of dynamics in the instrument, music reading, and bass drum technique. The student will learn different types of grooves and rhythms. For example, Jazz, Latin Jazz, rock, funk, samba, bossa nova among others.
WORLD PERCUSSION (ALL AGES. Private and group. REMOTE ONLINE)
This class is dedicated to the family of hand drums. The student will learn the basic patterns and techniques of conga drums, bongo drums, bells patterns, djembe, and cajón. The student will learn different types of latin music grooves. For example, Cuban son and rumba, afro Caribbean, south American grooves and Spanish Flamenco.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
From Caracas, Venezuela. Has performed with Rhonda Richmond, Cassandra Wilson, Badi Assad. Performed and recorded with the Grammy and Latin Grammy Award-nominated Sones de Mexico Ensemble, national and international concerts, master classes and residencies in Beijing, China, The Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall. Since 2010, he has played with “Ensemble Español”, and tough percussion at People’s Music School. Moved to Albuquerque in 2018. He is Part of the “Yjastros” Dance Company National Institute of Flamenco.

How did you get started teaching?
Early in my journey, back home I did started teaching in "EL SISTEMA" Youth Symphony Orchestra, Caracas, Venezuela.
