What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically work with a student the first day on determining if they need basic functions such as physical fitness or their level of comfort with the skills. Then design a Custom plan for them that fits all of the necessary skills that need work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I lifegaurd at the Sandia Pool and have extensive training in CPR, First Aid, and Water Rescue. I also have taken many health science classes and physical education courses such as Weight Training.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$15/30 minutes and $25/hour
The first lesson will include 30 minute consolation free of charge.
How did you get started teaching?
Lifegaurding at Sandia I am a swim instructor and enjoy working with students of all skill levels to increase their abilities.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with infants all the way to adults, I have also worked with special needs children and adults that require more sensitive training.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Consider if the student is looking for many lesson in a short time or is looking for a long term instructor.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What previsous training they have had and if they would like to work on skills only during a lesson or continue working on them outside of the lessons and then meet with the instructor to reinforce new skills and learn new skills
