Our school is a family based karate school. We work on the development of respect, discipline, self-control, humility, and coordination using our Martial Arts program. We offer classes for kids 4+ through adults. We focus on community activities and family involvment as part of our program calendar.

My greatest gift has been growing up with martial arts and sharing it through each stage of my life. As a kid, I was blessed to train with my father and develop a family relationship through karate. As a teenager, I was able to learn to work with kids and adults and develop relationships that have lasted my lifetime. Now, as an adult, our family is able to share the passion of karate with other families and help our students develop the same love of the art that we share.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a brand new student, our number one goal is to share the basics of our karate style with them while introducing them to our karate community. Each student is introduced to other students of similar ages, backgrounds, and that share common interests. We take them through basic core classes designed to introduce them to all of the elements of our martial arts program and allow them to feel comfortable and excited about this new opportunity.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My martial arts background began in 1989 as a 7 year old student. I was raised in the martial arts and was very fortunate to share this experience with my father, who continues to train with me today! My background is in student leadership development for youth and teens, and extends to adult organizational leadership for classroom instruction. I also serve as an instructor to a local police acemdy in the area of defensive tactics.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Our pricing is a monthly program that includes all of our standand training classes for the week. Students may train as much as the weekly schedule allows. Our program also offers training in judo, weapons, special seminars, tournaments, and more.
How did you get started teaching?
I was raised in the martial arts as a student, and volunteered to work with the younger kids early on. I continued as a volunteer assistant until the age of 15 when I took my first job as an instructor. I worked through High School and College with my martial arts school and other programs to help develop new methods of positive training and leadership development.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Each year, I have the opportunity to participate in a music and leadership development program for teens in the Las Vegas valley. On average, we host more than 50 students from 15 high school and multiiple states who are interested in leadership for their music programs. I appreciate working with different students in this culture as it reminds me about how similar are kids can be, despite areas of town, different cities, and different communities. This camp is a major inspiration for my leadership development within my martial arts school.
