About

I have 25+ years of professional performing experience and am trained by one of the top vocal coaches in the country, Jeffrey Skouson. I teach for the Institute for Vocal Advancement and focus on building balanced voices that can move smoothly from the bottom to the top without a break in the middle. I pride myself and on getting results quickly and efficiently without vocal strain. I have been performing professionally since I was 9 years old and am also a vocal performance coach and work on building confident performers by providing opportunities for my students to perform in various locations in Las Vegas

Music has always been my life and makes me who I am. I grew up in my Mother's dance studio and teaching came naturally to me. I love watching my students progress and am often probably more excited than they are when they achieve what they previously thought was impossible!

Frequently asked questions

I offer the first lesson at a discounted rate of $35/ 30 min. This lesson allows me to get to know your history in music and your goals for your lessons. It also gives me time to assess your voice and see what areas we need to address and work on in future lessons to make you the best and healthiest singer you can be!

I have been working as a professional singer since I was 9 years old. I grew up in Las Vegas and was the child singer, yodeler, and clogger in a country show at the old Aladdin Hotel. I was the opening act for big name country artists for many years and have extensive recording, performing, and touring experience. I worked for Holland America and Princess Cruise Lines as the lead singer for 10 years and helped in the building process of many shows for them. I am vocally trained by Seth Riggs and Jeffrey Skouson and teach under Jeffrey as an instructor for the Institute for Vocal Advancement. I focus on building a balanced voice that can move from the bottom notes to the high ones smoothly without a break in the middle. I can make those tricky notes you always crack on seem and feel easy and decrease the amount of vocal strain you may have felt in the past. I teach students as young as 9 years old and make learning breath support, performance skills, diction, phrasing, and vocal styling, fun. I also teach musical theatre for Bunker Dance Center, Montessori Foothills, and am a Disney Teaching Artist for the Smith Center as well.

I have always been involved in music. I couldn't hear until I was 3 years old which resulted in a terrible speech impediment that made me very shy. Music and singing forced me to enunciate my words and come out of my shell. I made a career out of singing and performing and wanted to pass along the feeling of confidence I found to others. When I came home from traveling cruise ships, it was a natural transition to teach and I have been very lucky to be blessed with amazing students who I have the pleasure of watching grow and challenge every week.

I have worked with students from 5 years old to adults. I work with students who struggle finding and matching pitches, attention and speech difficulties, as well as voices with a range of vocal issues, recording artists, dancers, you name it. If there is anything I don't feel I am a good fit for, I will recommend you to an instructor who may be a better instructor for you. My students can be found performing in in Le Reve, Vegas! The Show, Broadway Kids Academy, Las Vegas Academy, Saints Unified Voices, and in various musical theatre venues througout the valley.

Experience and training is the key thing to look for. Many singers like to teach singing on the side. Look for one who has more certification and training in their teaching methods and research what they teach. It's important to not just look for the cheapest instructor, but one who has more of a focused approach that can apply to all age ranges and vocal types. A healthy voice is a lasting voice and I pride myself on never having had a single vocal issue in my life due to the training I had and now teach.

What do you want to achieve vocally? Am I willing to practice?
