Mark cast and directed me in the role of Robert in David Auburn's "Proof." Robert has a lengthy monologue in Act 2 and it was Mark's expert insight and direction that enabled me to deliver that monologue each night with both the sincerity and power it demanded. I've since been able to use that same monologue for several auditions with good results. In fact, (no kidding!) I just came from a callback I received from an audition where I used that very monologue. Thanks, Mark!!!!!

Mark has an amazing ability to unpack monologues and scenes with startling clarity, which makes emotionally complex moments become distilled and act-able! He is eternally supportive and unfailing in his guidance in order to help the actor hit a pitch-perfect moment. He's an utter pleasure to work with and I highly recommend him!

Mark is a great director and coach. Supportive, encouraging and insightful are a few of the words I'd use to describe him. He makes you delve deep into the material and helps you find interesting approaches that are both truthful and unique to you.

Mark has an absolutely amazing, unique ability as a director/educator/coach. He so completely understands both the art of acting and directing that working with him yields innovative, truthful and exemplary work from actors. He has a way of communicating/working with actors that is both compassionate and challenging, inspiring and educational and always a terrific experience. He's truly one of the best directors/coaches I've worked with in my 18 years of being in the industry and I always jump at any opportunity to work with him.
