About
If Steven Spielberg hired me to direct a film. I could easily pull actors out of my repertory of students to cast that film because of the professional and artistic training I've given them.
That's my business model: my training is so good that I can take my actors anywhere in the world to be onstage or onscreen. It doesn't just end in the classroom.
I build professionals not stars!
Plus the actor is getting the training that i've had......
I trained at the Studio Theater and The Shakespeare Theater in Washington DC. I trained at Oxford University for their BADA British American Drama Academy in Shakespeare and Classical Theater.
I’ve been acting for the last 20 years
I enjoy seeing students reach their full potential in the same way I did in terms of becoming a skilled actor know for doing good work. It's about the process of taking on each role and the technique which breeds confidence and strength in oneself.
The training in the craft also produces a respect for the craft and a continued committment to excellence in order to create memorable performances.
Watching my students grow beyond me to become great thespians as well as the present development is a pure adrenaline rush.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, there is an assessment made with the student to see where they are in terms of talent. They are asked to prepare a 2 minute monologue of their choosing and they bring it to the first session. From there, their curriculum is tailor made to suit their goals and talent. Secondly after the curriculum is completed they put on a showcase to reflect class assignments then lastly – they begin the process of creating a portfolio of marketing tools and building a resume of work.
Every student will star or appear in a piece of work separate from the showcase but as a professional to be shown to a commercial audience to embark on getting exposure and begin their careers.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I trained at the Studio Theater and The Shakespeare Theater in Washington DC. I trained at Oxford University for their BADA British American Drama Academy in Shakespeare and Classical Theater.
I’ve been acting for the last 20 years

How did you get started teaching?
I was acting and doing workshops for kids when a friend got me into teaching acting at schools. That’s when I realized I could do drama instruction fairly well. Once I started teaching adults, I knew I had a gift for it and began doing it along with the directing of projects which complimented the teaching very well.
What types of students have you worked with?
I teach Adults, High School and Middle school students.
I love beginners but intermediate to advanced actors are great because I get to challenge them at greater heights of artistry!!!!
I prepare middle school students for high school entrance auditions and high schoolers for college entrance auditions.
Adults are the mainstay in my instruction.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I just recently went to an unconventional Poetry Slam that used multi-media and complete staging that was so innovative!!!!
It adds to my repertoire of teaching now. I was totally inspired.
It was called Poets In Autumn.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Shop around!!! Make sure you choose the best teacher that fits your temperament balanced with someone who will challenge you to go beyond your comfort zone to the next level. Don’t let price deter you but make sure you get bang for your buck. Make sure you invest wisely in your training. Don’t skimp on the training …it’s your bread and butter!!!
I don’t mind students shopping around because I’m very good at what I do and I love what I do. I’m confident that when you get through shopping you’ll find the journey you’ll take with me is just right for you!!!…. Plus I love training actors…..I love the craft.
Don't make any assumptions about the teachers background or person.......trust in their experience and knowledge of the craft!.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Will I be challenged by this teacher? Am I scared? (if you are then that’s your teacher!)
Will I get enough sustenance (in terms what I walk away with or bang for buck) to be equipped to start my career as an actor?
Do I trust my vulnerability to this person to help me use it onstage or onscreen?
Do I like this person and experience mutual respect?
