About

This former Blue Man Group vet and current Harvard professor would love to share some skills w/ you!

I've had the good fortune of taking on multiple skillsets (and in most cases performing them professionally) long enough to finally be giving back through teaching over the past 15 years. I've taught levels ranging from a few K-5 kids in a community center, to packed classes at NYU and Harvard (where I continue teaching now).

Passing along the tips and techniques I've learned/practiced has become a real joy for me; I love not only to teach, but to keep you stirred up about your ambition, your vision of yourself in the context of these skills, however grand or modest.

I look forwarding sparking that fuse w/ you!

My areas of expertise:

PERCUSSION: I have been drumming and performing percussion since I was 10 yrs old. I have a forte in rudimental drumming (e.g. Drum Corps International, marching music, orchestral percussion, etc.), have performed orchestrally at the University of Wyoming and the Colorado Wind Ensemble and, as a drum set player, performed in bands ranging from the Rocky Mt. West to New York City.

** Marching Music: I competed in/taught for the DCI activity for 8 years and have led clinics/arranged music for 6th grade to high school levels (full ensemble and one-on-one instruction included).

ACTING/AUDITION COACHING (Stage and Film):

My 'day job' is as a successful, Obie Award winning actor in New York. I have performed the famous "Blue Man" character w/ the Blue Man Group over 5,000 times in four countries and 28 cities (and have trained and directed new talent).

My stage work has been seen Off-Off Broadway, Off-Broadway and Broadway over the past 20 years, and I have acted in mainstream television and film (incl. w/ luminaries such as Willem Dafoe, Scarlett Johansson and others)

I also teach stage movement (James Donlon physical work, Blue Man Group mask work, Viewpoints, International Taois Tai Chi, etc.)

GYMNASTICS:

As a competitive gymnast in high school, I’ve held on to the basics of that skillset and performed w/ them or taught them for over 20 years.

Whatever your preference of skillset, I will bring you fun, challenge and movitivation!

Hope to communicate w/ you soon!
