About

I've worked as a gymnastics instructor for over 8 years with an exceptional track record. I excel at working with young children and have a passion for early childhood development! I especially enjoy working with children with disabilities or who are neurodivergent. I believe in creating a supportive enivorment for all kids without singling them out for their differences. I stand by inclusivity and ensuring a safe, nuturing environment.

In addition to 11 years of experience, I'm also a coach for rock climbers with disabilites. My certifications include multiple USAG cerfications, CPR, First Aid, AED, Lifeguard and SafeSport.

I've been an actress for 14 years and counting, and have always felt attracted to the spotlight. My hope is to share that energy with others.

I feel an immediate sense of reward when I see a child learn something new - it makes me feel like I've made a difference in their life and positively impacted their future!

PLEASE NOTE: At this time I am following social distancing measures. For acting lessons, I am only doing virtual lessons. For gymnastics, I am doing a finite number off private lessons in outdoor settings only. This is limited to 1 child at a time (exceptions for siblings living together) and face masks are REQUIRED at all times, no exceptions. I sanitize the mat I use before and after each session, and also wear a face mask the entire time.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this difficult time.

Sarah was great gymnastics coach for my 8 year old daughter and 5 year old son. She always made it fun, but also pushed my kids to strive to do their best. Sarah is an amazing person, and is so good with children.

Sarah is a shining light. She connects with kids on a personal and caring level with each interaction. I have a daughter with special needs and Sarah challenges her, and has gotten her to a place in gymnastics I did not think was possible. As a coach she is a friend, a big sister, a mentor, and someone who gets the best out of all her students. She is just a wonderful person, who has a passion for helping people, and sharing her talent.

Frequently asked questions

I like to evaluate where a student is, whether that's physical ability, behavior, desire to learn, etc. Everyone starts somewhere different and I think it's important to meet a child where they are, not force them to be somewhere they're not comfortable being.

For adults, I usually find out what their individual goals are and how to work from there.

I'm USA Gymnastics certified in safety, first aid, and other lesson planning and teaching methods, additionally I have 8 years under my belt working at 4 different facilities in addition to private lessons.

For acting, I obtained my BFA from Pace University in Acting for Film, TV, Voice-Overs and Commercials. I've also spent time teaching theater camps, circus camps and improv classes to kids.

Most private lessons are $50/hour. I do free consultations via video chat or phone call (email is fine too if that's your jam) to determine skill level, goals, upcoming dates (for auditions, performances, gymnastics meets, etc) and more. This is to assess where an individual needs attention, how much time to spend in a lesson, etc.

I began shortly after I stopped being a gymnast (due to a hectic schedule) - I fell in love with helping kids learn and grow!

Tons! I've worked with children ages 9 months - 16 years old. Additionally, I've worked with children of all ability levels; physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. From ADHD, the autism spectrum, to muscular dystrophy and asthma, I think it's important to make a nurturing and inclusinve environment for all children while pushing them to do their best!

Communication is key. There will always be a teacher more qualified than someone else, but what matters is how you get along. Great learning happens when a bond is formed.

1) What are my goals? What am I hoping to get out of this?

2) How long do I plan on doing this? Finite or ongoing?

3) How often do I wish to take lessons with an instructor as well as practice on my own?

4) What limitations might I have that we need to work with? (Being honest here is important - I grew up with a lung disease that affected my ability to participate sometimes, but by working with coaches, doctors and working hard, I learned to work around obstacles!)
