There are plenty of cooking classes available out there, and they are all looking for your business. What factors make a learning experience unforgettable? Anyone can put food on a table, but it takes a certain touch to make that food special.
Passion and creativity for food and food service is something that will always shine through. If a chef loves what he or she is doing, it can be seen in the final product on the plate. Cooking is often a labor of love, and if that love is not there, a dish cannot be memorable.
Personality- Every food service has a personality that comes through to the guest. A knowledgeable chef with a positive attitude and good personality can often easily make learning proses smooth and easy.
Of all these factors, nothing is more important than individual attention to detail and relationship with student or guests.
At my classes, I pay attention to the details. Making that extra effort for each person and of course passion, personality and creativity are all factors that put my classes top of the list.
Great chefs don’t always make great instructors, but also great instructors’ don’t have to be great chefs. In my view an instructor does not teach someone to cook, they inspire the student to learn more about food. I would just like to add that the feeling I get when I see that spark in a student’s eye when something clicks, is even more satisfying than when I get great feedback from a satisfied customer.
