What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Identify the students goals, level of experience, then start writing practice material tailored to their goals and experience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've studied serval years with private instructors while performing professionallly in both Austin, Texas, and NYC. I'm comfortable playing offboradway, Jazz, rock, funk, pop, and anything else in between.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$50 a lesson, flexiblitly can be worked out on a case by case basis for students looking to schedule lessons in bulk.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching when a few kids at a church I played at started asking me to show them how to play.
What types of students have you worked with?
Kids and adults.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who is a good player AND a good teacher. God like chops are...well..god like, but they are different from teaching chops.
