Train in Karate in a feminist, social justice environment that welcomes all body types and all fitness levels! At Brooklyn Goju, we believe that marshal arts training should be available to anyone who wants to make the commitment to grow stronger. Continued training has helped many of us feel more at home in our bodies, more able to center and ground ourselves even when it’s difficult, and more able to protect ourselves.
Trans & cis women, non-binary folks, gender-nonconforming people, and/or trans men are encouraged to train in our safe and inclusive space.
Tuesday Evening karate class, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm;
Saturday morning karate class, 10 am – 11:15 am;
Tues Evening Yoga infused karate once per month (see the calendar for which Tuesday), 6:30-8:15
You will experience: Stretches that can be modified for what works best for your body and exercises that will strengthen your core
Plus: How to throw a front punch, How to do basic blocks, How to use your voice to protect yourself, How to throw a front kick
And you will get a workout!
