Golf Lessons By Jim LaBuda

I started my golf career while in high school working at a local golf store. For 2 years, I played Division I golf for Canisius College in Buffalo, NY while pursuing a degree in Finance. Once graduated from college with my Bachelor of Science degree, I continued to work retail at Pro Golf discount and eventually became store manager. I was in charge of a 3,000 square foot retail store. As the business expanded to a new store location, along with a 36 hole golf course, dome covered driving range for the winter months and an outdoor range for the summer months, I was presented with a unique opportunity to enhance my knowledge and pursue a career in the golf industry year round. I operated the retail store successfully for a many years. Eventually, it was time for me to make use of my degree so I pursued a career in the field of finance. After years of being out of the golf industry, but never giving up the love of the game, I wanted to get involved again. I have had a successful teaching career since 2007 working with golfers of all ages and abilities. I also worked with a local municipality and taught clinics for the town at the local driving range, teaching beginners how to enjoy and get started in the game. I am now an assistant golf professional at Terry Hills Golf Course in Batavia, NY and teach golf lessons at Bob O'Links Golf Course in Orchard Park, NY, Airport Driving Range in Williamsville, NY, Chestnut Hill Country Club in Darien, NY and Holland Hills Country Club in Holland, NY. I can teach at whichever location is more convenient for you. I work with students of all abilities passing on my knowledge, skills and passion for the game. Individual, couples and group lessons are available.

I have a passion for the game of golf. I love being around the game, whether it's checking someone in at the pro shop to play golf that day, or giving someone a lesson and watching them improve. It's very satisfying to me when someone comes to me and says "I played my best round today because of your teaching." Then I know that I've done my job, and made someone else's day.
