About
My coaching is grounded in The Method Technique. My approach is unique because I place an emphasis on relaxation & grounding. I also take a Holistic Approach when I coach actors. We focus on Breathwork and utilizing different ways to help with tapping into a character and separating yourself from a character, once a performance is over. I'll make colorful suggestions that can help you tap into your core and really discover who you are so that the character's essence shines through. Check out my website: www.artistsrizeny.com
I enjoy the exploration phase. I also enjoy helping actors find the nuances in each role. Watching actors connect with a character and finding their truth is amazing. No words can express that.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I ask a series of exploratory questions to get to know the student. I want to know what they desire to work on and explore. What does he/she look for in an acting coach; what do they hope to learn ... etc
I would also focus on creative visualization, a breathwork exercise and some meditation. This helps students to become more focused and present before exploring the craft of acting.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's in Acting from The Actors Studio - Pace University, which is one of the top 5 schools in the USA.
I have experience with Meisner and Sense Memory and have worked as an actress for 10 years.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Stay Curious! That's important. I would suggest them to stay open to the process and not search for perfection. Learn about the craft and Learn yourself in the process.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should first trust their intuition and see if the energy is positive between acting coach & student. A student needs to feel safe and trust their coach. This is very important. The energetic connection is important.
You should find out an acting teacher's experience and feel out their personality. Every coach is different. It's important to find a connection to see if you can work well together.
