Patience, availability for questions and dedication to my desire to learn best define my experience with Patrick. It was such dedication that also made him call me out when he didn’t think I was doing my best or was making careless mistakes. Perhaps this wouldn’t be that outstanding except that Patrick did all of this long distance; he was in Philadelphia and I was in Delaware. He was timely in mailing me assignments and tests, and even more so in grading and returning them. I learned more from him in the 2 years I studied with him than I did in my last year of theory in my undergrad at music school. He works with you from what ever level you play at and shows you what you need to do to overcome your next hurdle in the evolution of your playing skill set. When I started I thought I’d never play an open C chord. Now I play around 200 songs. What ever particular issue I might have on a new song I’m trying out, he breaks it down to individual chord progressions then puts them together to smooth out any bumps in the playing you’ll find. I highly recommend Vinny to anyone at any skill level.

I began taking guitar lessons with Thor about 5 weeks ago and he is an excellent instructor , Thor is focused on teaching me and explains and demonstrates all of the work we are doing , he is patient and enjoys passing his music skills on to me . Thor also never is in a hurry for our lesson to end , he always wants to get his lesson plan across even if it takes extra time which I really appreciate. Jimi is a great guy. Has me laughing and learning at the same time. I must say I've only been going for about a month and so far he's taught me more than I've ever expected. I played some guitar as a teen and after dropping off for 40-50 years he has me all excited about learning again. I've only been going for about a month but I plan on continuing forever. Give me a year or so and Ill update the review but right now I have to practice. LOL
