The New Rochelle Shotokan Karate Club is a member of the International Shotokan Karate Federation (ISKF), a global organization founded by Grand Master Teruyuki Okazaki (retired), 10th Dan in 1977. Shihan Hiroyoshi Okazaki, 9th Dan, is Chairman and Chief Instructor of the ISKF. Headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, the organization counts hundreds of affiliate clubs across the world--in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean.
Lidj Lewis, 6th Dan, is Chief Instructor of the New Rochelle Shotokan Karate Club. He has been training in Shotokan Karate since the 1970s, and has been teaching Shotokan karate at the YMCA since 2005.
