VasMazTennis - Train Like The Pros, With A Pro
About
Hi, my name is Vasilis Mazarakis. I am 34 years old, and I am a former ATP World Tour player, offering tennis lessons and a unique tennis experience to adults, juniors, beginners and advanced tennis players. I would be honored to become your mentor, teacher or partner in the fascinating tennis world of yours, so I can't wait to meet you and guide you through the process! What's the single most important thing you should know about me? I love teaching tennis! My entire life, I have been a part of the tennis world and don't regret a minute of it. When I was active on the ATP World Tour, I was fortunate enough to have been a part of a world that offered me only precious moments. I was lucky to train with many elite coaches around the world and more fortunate to actually pay attention to what they were teaching me. I experimented the different training methods on myself, analyzed the best parts of each method, created a unique and own training method that works, and in the process, reached a career world ranking of 115 in singles and 101 in doubles in the ATP World Tour ranking. What was the unfortunate part of this entire process? Absolutely nothing! I learned, had fun, became better and enjoyed every single moment of this magical experience. I enjoyed it so much that I knew the moment I would finish my career, I would have to share these methods with you. Most retired ATP World Tour tennis players do not want to be involved in tennis anymore. Their bodies or minds are too tired to be engaged into further tennis-related activities. Leaving the tennis court or taking a break from tennis never crossed my mind! I knew exactly what was the right thing for me to do. I had to take all the information I had learned in the 12 years of my professional career, collect all the secrets that made me one of the best tennis players in the world, and share them with you. I made a choice to reveal all the information to you, allowing you to reach the maximum of your tennis potential. I will provide you only with the right, structured and professional instruction that can and will make a significant difference in your tennis game and experience. After I will get the opportunity to know you, evaluate your tennis game and become aware of your strengths and weaknesses, I will create and provide you with your own unique tennis program. Together, we will reduce the exposure of your weaknesses until we will eventually eliminate them and improve your strengths as well as your overall tennis game. I will offer you my knowledge and experience and will show you how to prevent injuries and become a stronger and complete tennis player with specialized on- and off-the-court exercises. If you desire to acquire instruction that will train your mind and body to react and act not only effectively but also automatically, don't hesitate to reach me. Here is some additional information about me and some of my personal highlights. As I mentioned before, I had a career-high ATP world ranking of 115 in singles and 101 in doubles. You can verify that by visiting the ATP world tour's site, clicking on the "Players" tab and entering Vasilis Mazarakis in the “Find a Player” search option (You can do the same for every single professional player who has ever played on the ATP World Tour.) If a person has played or claims to have played on the professional tour, he will be there and you can find all information about his tennis career. If he is not, he has never been a part of it. I have won 14 ATP or ITF singles titles and was a singles finalist in 13 other occasions as well. I also won four ATP or ITF doubles titles and was five times a double finalist. Additionally, I was a consistent Davis Cup member of the Greek National Davis Cup team playing as number one of the team in singles and doubles from 1996 (when I was only 16 years old) until the end of my career. I participated in the Athens Olympics in 2004 and of course, I also played in the grand slams. Other awards include an award by the Greek Sports Journalists Association for one of Top Athletes of All Sports as well as a nomination by the ATP for Newcomer of Year ATP World Tour Award based on ranking move (from number 1148 ATP to year-end rank number 223 ATP in 1999). Notable wins in my career include wins over former ATP Top 10 players like Janko Tipsarevic, Rainer Schuetller, Karol Kucera, Marc Rosset, Alex Corretja, as well as Fabio Fognini, Feliciano Lopez, Ernest Gulbis, Lukas Rosol, Dmitry Tursunov, Ivan Dodig, Robby Ginepri, Dominik Hrbaty, Younes El Aynaoui, Albert Montanes, Viktor Troicki, Carlos Berlocq as well as many other Top 100 players! Last but not least, here are my coaching credentials. Not only I possess a USPTA and USPTR master certification (most coaches possess only one of the two), but I also possess an ATP coaching certification limited only to ex-professional ATP World Tour players! If you want to know even more about me just visit my own personal website. In it you can find the "About me" section, several blogs related to tennis, the Forehand Master Class (FMC), a fantastic forehand development program that will show you how to transform your forehand into a consistent, powerful, and dominating weapon as well as watch me hit in a practice session with Fernando Verdasco! To conclude, here is something you need to know about tennis in general. Tennis is a fascinating sport of choices. It involves you making simple or more complicated choices constantly! Choosing which shot to hit, where to place the ball, and why to place it to a specific court location are all choices one has to make within split seconds. The final decision will increase the need for more choices. Based on this specific, final decision, you will have to decide how to move to the ball, how to position your body to execute the best possible shot, or even, how to recover back to the appropriate waiting position for the next shot. Before you even come to this point you will need to choose how to prepare yourself for the upcoming tournament, league match, or even the simple "challenge" game with your roommate. You will need a specific system that will allow you first to understand tennis, examine every step of the process, and learn not only what is the only correct choice you have, depending on the situation you are facing, but also how to prepare and train your body to do everything automatically! This is the moment that will define the path of your tennis experience and will require you to make the most important choice of your tennis life. You will need to choose the right coach to guide you in the process of improving your tennis game and experience, trust him, share with him your doubts and concerns about your tennis game, and allow him to share with you his knowledge and experience on not only how to win tennis matches but also how to prepare yourself accordingly on and off the court while having fun in the process. If you want me to be that choice of yours and mentor you through your tennis development, make sure to give me a call or email me. I teach mostly in Long Island at the Nassau County area, but I could also come to you or to the club of your desire, if it is convenient for both of us. Call me or email me for rates and further information. I look forward to speaking with you and committing to your success. Thank you! Vasilis
