I employ classical voice and acting techniques developed by Cicely Berry and Alexander. I have a BA Honours in Drama from Loughborough University and a Postgraduate Qualification from The Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London England. I have been a long term Company Member of the Royal National Theatre London and have had extensive Principal acting roles in UK and USA Repertory and Television. I taught voice and audition technique at The Italia Conti Drama School and Mountview Theatre School in London.
I am a passionate, patient and empathetic tutor and my current students say I am inspirational. I enjoy developing talent and empowering students with the tools and skills to communicate their own unique story.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Extensive breathing exercise program and voice development, moving to text and audition/performance technique.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA Honours Degree in Drama from Loughborough University England and a Postgraduate Diploma from The Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London England.

I currently charge $50 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
Based on my experience and education I was asked by an agent at William Morris Agency UK if I would be interested in teaching voice classes and acting technique at a couple of drama schools in London.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with beginners, intermediary and advanced students. Ages 11 to adult.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have recently been working with the Seniors at the Sirovich Center in NYC, helping them devise their own short plays and performing them to an audience at the Dixon Place Theatre in Chrystie Street NYC.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who has the appropriate education and skills, but also someone who is passionate, patient and can empower you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Where do I believe I am in my current voice and acting development? What am I looking to achieve?
