About this pro

I teach Cooking in your home Where you are comfortable.

You will use your own tools and kitchen. No point learning to make something using 500.00 mixer when you don’t have one.

I have taught my own son within a couple of months of teaching him he was choosen out of over 8000 kids to be on masterchef junior. he then went on to win the grand prize of 45k for the uncle ben's national cooking contest.

The way i teach i break things down in to easy to understand concepts like building block that you can mix and match.

Basic knife skills

Fry, sear, braise, sauté, boil, pouch, roast, and broil.

mother sauces including Chinese.

Making hard dishes easy to make.

Plating and photos.

Be a pro in the kitchen the fast way.

I love to see students "get it" and then amaze themselves with their cooking.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Start by finding out what they know already to save time.

Go over knife skills for safety.

Find out what kind of food they world like to make.

What they want ot get out of the class? Like learning general cooking skils? entertaining? instagram post?

If they are Looking to compete on a cooking show I help them with the skills they need to do it.

Then I work on teaching them how to make the dish they alway wanted to make and teach how to properly sauté, fry, braise, pouch, Steam, broil and bake. also teaching the 5 mother sauces. With they combo you can then make anything. Also how to properly cook meats and fish including temperatures.

Recipes and ingredents will be disscussed over the phone and the a fresh direct order can then be placed to fin in the missing items.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

All self taught.

I tought my son in 7 month how to be a masterchef and the going on the the top 12. when he was 10.

Then winning the uncle bens national cooking contest grand prize of 45,000.00.

The level of food we make is at a level you will only see in top restaurants.

How did you get started teaching?

With my son he wanted to do the top cooking competitions. Then I moved on to teach kids in middle school and high school and adults.

One example of one of my classes..the first day they could not even fry an egg.

After the 5th day they were making homemade pasta, Dim sum, poached eggs with hollandaise sauce with rosemany potatoes crispes, And chocolate mouse.

What types of students have you worked with?

Kids teens and adults From never ever cooked before to adults who wanted to learn something different.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

My son when he was 11 cooking with gordon ramsay live for over 20 mins on the good morning america 40th anniversary tv show.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Figure out what you want to learn... Styles of teachers are not one size fits all. Learn building blocks it may not seem that interesting but once you know those skills you are set for life... Verse Just learning one or two recipes. Some may want to teach you preplaned standard recipes formats. that is fine if you have to teach alot of people at one time. But for one on one and very small private group it should be taylored to your needs. Most of all and this is very important! It should be fun!

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

You need to know what you wish to acomplish do just want to learn how to just make a dessert? or do you really want to learn how to cook and to what level? how much time do you have? and how fast do you want to learn? are you a good cook but want to learn a different style of cooking?
