I am a Red Cross Swimming Instructor, I have over 8 years in the industry I’ve coached and trained 5 lifeguards and many other student for competitive swimming and for recreational purposes. I am dedicated and excited to learn how different people learn and pass on this valuable lifesaving and health beneficial skill to all of my students.
I enjoy when my students come back to me happy to show me what they have learned and are now capable of doing after a few lessons. Also i enjoy getting to know the different ways to reach a student and get them excited about swimming.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin by getting the students comfortable then proceed to explaining the general idea of how the body behaves in the water so they can have an in-depth knowledge and experience of swimming.

How did you get started teaching?
I started in my swiming team i use to help my coach, then started volunteering at a weekend program

All types, Young, Elderly, Athletic, Disable. etc..
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
How many parents while working for the city this summer came up to me and offer to write letters of appreciation to my boss and great thanks to me for being the best teacher at the facility.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the instructor begins with safety in the water as priority and confortability.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should think about what it is that bother them or they are struggling with, and what they want to accomplish so the teacher can be on the same page as them and help them move toward their goals
