About
I believe each person is unique and therefore requires a different approach to acting that is specifically catered to their skills and personality. Private coaching is extremely beneficial in finding that unique voice that every artist has. A safe environment in which you can experiment and not feel judged is essential in order to fully explore what you're capable of. Samuel Beckett said it best, "Try again. Fail again. Fail better." By trying choices that don't work and analyzing them, we can find out why they didn't work and that puts us on the path to what might work. Acting can seem like a treacherous battlefield at times, so why not send in the Marines?
I served in the United States Marine Corps before starting my career as an actor. The discipline I developed while in the Marines has helped me tremendously in my professional career. I earned my BA in Theater Performance from Marymount Manhattan College in NYC and my MA in Acting from Drama Centre in London. My credits include: Off-Broadway: Shakespeare in the Park's Julius Caesar (Lucilius), Our Trojan War (Odysseus) at BAM Fisher, Basetrack Live (AJ) at BAM Harvey. International: The Big Knife (Charlie Castle) London, Uncle Vanya (Astrov) Moscow. Film: Two Days Back, The Dark Knight Rises, Halo: Helljumper.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When establishing a new working relationship I like to find out what my students are looking to achieve from our sessions by having a quick 15-minute Skype session or phone call. During this time I can assess what their experience level is, any previous training they've had, and whether or not they are working on a specific project. They may not have a clear goal but a general idea of what they want, which is also a great starting point.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have earned my Bachelors in Theater Performance from Marymount Manhattan College in NYC and my Masters in Acting from Drama Centre in London, UK.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently finished a double bill national tour of Hamlet/Sense & Sensibility, which was such an amazing learning experience. One moment on the tour stuck out for me though. We were in Virginia performing Sense & Sensibility, which is a classical piece that is not as well known these days. The audience we had that night not only knew the story but they were also with us every step of the way! The atmosphere was electric and in theater we live for shows like that.
