Elizabeth Koontz has been a dedicated private voice and piano teacher for more than 15 years. Lessons are taught in her home studio in Mariemont on a pre-WWII Knabe full grand piano. She has extensive performing experience as an opera singer nationwide, and holds a Master of Music degree from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. The Elizabeth Koontz Music Studio was recognized by Expertise.com as a Top Ten Music Studio in Cincinnati for the past five years from 2019-2023!

I have enjoyed teaching private voice and piano lessons in the community of Mariemont for more than 10 years. I love teaching members of my community of all ages and levels of ability. What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I get to know students personally and I get to know their unique individual voice. I use customized technical exercises to increase range, breath control and tonal quality. I allow students to choose the music they would like to learn. I teach thoroughly and patiently.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Master of Music degree from Indiana Univeristy Jacobs School of Music.
