What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I start with a conversation about previous experience and future goals. Why are you wanting these swim lessons. After that we can get started in the water. I take a little time to evaluate the current stroke tecnique while the swimmer is warming up, and then i shape the rest of the lessons off of their goals and their current ability.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been a USA swimming certified coach for 8 years. I have been teaching swim lessons for 10 years. and i was a competitive swimmer from the age of 4 all the way through college.

look into their background of teaching. then have a discussion about your goals and what you hope is going to be accomplished. finally try one lesson with them. If you are not receiving constant feedback from them, look elsewhere.
