I have been competitively swimming for 13 years. I spent about 7 of those years competing in USA swimming. I got the opportunity to compete in ZONE championships during my pre-teen years. I swam for my high school an currently swim for Ursuline college. My favorite strokes are butterfly, breaststroke, and freestyle. I like to swim sprint events as well as longer distance events. I do hold a few records at both schools. I have experience teaching lessons in a small group and one-on-one lessons. I know how to explain swimming in order for others to understand it.
Swimming is such an important skill to know, even if you don't plan to do it competitively. I remember being in swimming lessons and being afraid to put my face in the water. Swimming has become such an important part of my life and I love how far I've gone with it. I have watched all my hard work pay off after all these years and it is been nothing but exciting. Getting to see that same excitement with others is so gratifying.

I spent a year teaching at Goldfish swim school. Through them I learned how to take the most complex parts of swimming and break them down into simple steps to learn them slowly.
I've been in the water since I was a baby so swimming has always been an important part of my life. Watching my success pay off has not only been exciting to me, but to my coaches as well. I like to see those small successes through other people, there is not better feeling than mastering something.
I've worked with students ages 2-12. I've taught 30 minutes one-on-one lessons to a group of four children at once.
