About

Our martial arts stands out because we are an authentic Okinawian Martial Arts style. Our style is known all over the world with dojos in many countries.

(Please visit STRAITKARATE.ORG for further information and contact information.)

We travel a couple of times a year to train with our Sensei in person, we train with him via Google Meet, and we train with his Sensei when the opportunity presents itself. Currently, we are planning a trip to Okinawa to train with the President of the organization.

We enjoy seeing the practitioner gain a new sense of confidence, pushing through and seeing that they "can". Knowing that karate brings a certain level of discipline to the person, we enjoy being a part of someone's journey to be the very best version of themself.

Also, We enjoy the camaraderie between the dojos and practioners, it is an extended family where everyone wants to see everyone succeed.

    Frequently asked questions

Currently, we are building clientele and privately teaching in our home dojo. We are looking to have a an official place by Sept. 2022.

Typically, new students receive a student Gi from us with their 1st month of paid tuition. This allows the student to begin to feel confident about themselves and their surrounds. We begin by teaching the basic punches, blocks, kicks, and stances. Then move toward katas, applications, and sparring.

Training, training, and more training. My husband and I have both trained over the years to reach Black Belt. Both of us continue to train and achieve a higher Dan rank.

Pricing available to serious inquiries only.

My husband and I owned a dojo in Oceanside, CA before he retired from the USMC. Prior to that, we were completing our Sempai hours in our home dojo in Vista, CA.

In addition, I was working with Oceanside Recreation Centers as their part time Tiny Toy Martial Arts Instructor.

We have had the opportunity to work with all ages 2- 80 years old .

Don't just chase the belt - chase the knowledge behind the belt.  Anyone can be a black belt but it will mean nothing if you can't back it up with knowledge.

We are open minded and try to accommodate the needs of every student.
