I'm a Berklee College of Music alumni with over 20 years of teaching experience including teaching music theory and ear training. In all my guitar lessons I pay attention to what you're interested in learning and the guitar styles that you're interested in.
Teaching guitar brings me great joy. Seeing a student progress into a great guitar player is very rewarding.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first establish if the student is a beginner or intermediate or advanced and we talk about the students desires and what they would like to learn most of my students want to be able to play rock and blues guitar

I'm a Berklee college of music alumni and have been teaching for over 30 years

I charge $ 50.00 per hour online or if you come to me and $60.00 per hour if I go to you.
How did you get started teaching?
I got offered a teaching job in the Cambridge community school system while I was attending Berklee college of music

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who can teach you how to read music and music theory and how it is applied to the guitar also find someone who has considerable live and recording experience so he can help prepare you so you can reach your goals
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
If your looking to play rock and blues guitar first make sure you're impressed with your teacher's playing secondly you must set aside time to practice every day it's the only way you'll succeed and enjoy a lifetime of playing the music you love
