We knew that we made the right choice after the first visit as Ron suggested that he shift gears from doing voice lessons with our son to working as his speech coach to help our son with his speech impediments and confidence building. Well with five sessions in, we couldn’t be happier. We are seeing major progress with our teenage son and he is very comfortable and happy with what Ron has brought to the table. I’ve been taking lessons with Anthony for about 6 months now, and my guitar playing has definitely improved. Some lessons we have deep discussions on music theory concepts, other lessons we’ve worked on songs and used them as blueprints to learn different techniques or chords or what have you. For example, recently we’ve been working on “Dust in the Wind” by Kansas, and within a month I’ve gone from never fingerpicking an acoustic to playing the song with a degree of efficiency. Genre-wise, we’ve worked on everything from Megadeth to Louis Armstrong, so he’s definitely versatile. He’s also helped me with writing my own material, and has a great recording setup. His prices are fair, and his schedule is usually pretty flexible if I can’t make a lesson one week he finds time for me. Whether you want to sight read music or play some songs around the campfire or shred like Van Halen, he’s your guy.
