Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We offer a free trial class for any student to a class to see what class suits them best so they can excel to the best of their ability.
We register year round.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started dancing at the age of 4 in a local studio. As I became more serious in my studies, I increased my hours at the studio along with taking regular classes at an additional studio out of the area and at studios in NYC. Thru the years of dance training I attended numerous workshops and conventions through out the US. I received my teaching degree with Dance Masters of America and Dance Educators of America, along with other various certified organizations. The most important point is that I still continue to travel and educate myself so I can stay on top of all the new material that is out there everyday in the world of dance.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is based on the length of time each student studies at the studio on a weeks time.
Classes are charged monthly, and privates- duos- trios are charged weekly
How did you get started teaching?
I started for the love of teaching and sharing my passion of dance and movement to others whom wish to learn.
What types of students have you worked with?
Students of all ages and all levels of dance
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Please research!!!!!!
Do not base your decision on just the fact of how close the studio is from your home, or just because it might be where your friends go.
Ask questions!!!!!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What truly are you looking to do. What do you expect to learn. How large are the classes. How long has the studio been in business and what type of background education does the teacher have. How commited is the teacher to the student.
