I was there to learn knife skills: which knife for to use for what and how best to wield it. Chef Rock advised me to bring with me the knives I use regularly at home. I did so, and he sharpened all of them with a professional sharpener. Chef Rock worked beside me for 1.5 hours. He showed me how to cut, slice, and dice many types of actual vegetables, and then let me try it myself while he gave me feedback about what I was doing right and wrong. I loved the hands-on learning experience. He emphasized that practice is the best way to become proficient in using knives efficiently. He also gave me printed materials that summarized the techniques I had learned. I would recommend Chef Rock highly!
