Lancaster County's fastest growing performing arts studio! Launched in 2007 as a private voice studio, the Studio now offers private voice lessons, acting classes, workshops, masters classes, performance opportunities and much more!

The faculty at Popovsky Performing Arts Studio has a deep love and passion for performing and educating. It is our goal to provide an environment where students can grow and learn in all aspects of the performing arts in order to become well-rounded dynamic performers!

Nothing gives us more pleasure than connecting with a student and finding out who they are and what makes them click. My developing relationships with our students we are able to guide them in the best possible ways to grow as performers and individuals. Seeing the smile performers of all ages have on their face after great lessons or classes is the biggest pay off that we can get as teaching artists.

When I first happened upon Popovsky Performing Arts I was looking to find a place that could help me overcome a self-esteem issue I had with my voice. The first day I met with Michael Popovsky I knew that this place was going to be special. He was warm, amiable and incredibly knowledgeable about the vocal and performing arts - all in a way that was approachable and engaging. From the first lesson to the most current, I have learned and grown in ways I never thought I could. I grew from having a major problem with speaking in public to being able to perform in front of a packed theater time and time again with the technical knowledge, practice and confidence Popovsky Performing Arts provided. I cannot recommend this studio highly enough! The performers and staff are amazing to be around and the atmosphere is both laid-back and professional. Ive been going for years now and dont plan on stopping any time soon. Thank you, Popovsky Performing Arts.

Our daughter has been a Popovsky voice student for 3 years. She has also taken numerous dance and acting classes, private dance lessons, attended camps and participated in Popovsky promotions, cabarets and theatrical productions. Popovsky offers a wide range of training by qualified teachers who take a personal interest in their students. With their encouragement and guidance, my daughter has auditioned and performed with confidence for numerous local theatre companies, including: Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, Ephrata Performing Arts Company, Servant State Company, Prima, school and church. I have and will continue to recommend Popovsky to anyone seeking quality training.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Students are evaluated on an individual basis in both classes and private lessons. Teachers here at PPAS take pride in indetifiying everystudents strengths and weaknesses and helping them to enhance their strengths and overcome their weaknesses!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Every instructor here at PPAS has studied their particular discipline extensively and continue to participate in ongoing training and development in order to enhance their teaching ability and stay current on trends in the industry.
