Anton Nykov

My name is Anton Bykov and I’m a drum instructor. I have over 10 years of drumming experience (shows, tours, records, teaching). I got my main education in Russian music school, but I also studied (and keep studying) the world’s best drum methods, including courses in Berklee College of Music (Funk and R’n’B Drumming).

As I mentioned, I'm originally from Russia, back there I played in punk, pop-punk, alternative and indie bands. I’ve been on multiple tours around Eastern Europe. Also I participated in art performances with contemporary artists and in street parties with a brass band.

Ok, what about the educational process? We’ll have a lot of fun! Sometimes it’s not possible to avoid boring exercises, BUT there are ways to make them really interesting and fun. We’re going to learn and play with music because I believe that every drummer must be a musician in the first place. Personal approach to each student guaranteed.

-Coordination

-Genres (Rock, Pop, Funk, Blues and so on)

-Theory

-Active listening

-Your favorite songs, and much more.

I live in the Greenfield/Squirrel Hill area, we can practice in my home studio (i have everything necessary including new drum sticks, but you can bring your own), or we can practice in your home/studio if it’s located in the city.
