My name is Maria Goelz, and I would first like to thank you for considering me to be your piano teacher/vocal coach, and to guide you through the world of reading and playing music. As a music teacher, I strive to instill in my students the love of music, as well as a clear understanding as to how it works. In addition to classical and broadway songs on the piano or voice, my students learn music theory from quarter notes to the circle of fifths and beyond. These are concepts found in college level music theory classes, that would normally get crammed into a few semesters. If they decide to pursue a carreer in music, they will have a head sta ... I strive to teach students to have the ability to think for themselves and not be in need of an instructor. I teach the rather simple math behind the music that enables the student to understand and play ANY stringed/fretted instrument they may choose. From my perspective I want my student to eventually FIRE me but only because they find that my services are no longer necessary.

Hi, my name is Ian Cain and I’ve been studying music for 35 years. I’d say studying guitar but really it’s been so much more than just that. It’s been a lifelong passion of listening to, watching, and learning the history of so many genres of great music. From age 8 when my father brought home a much oversized for my little hands Fender 12 string acoustic I knew there was something incredible at my fingertips and that I’d found a lifelong companion. In teaching what I’ve learned over the years I hope to pass that same gift on to others. I grew ... View Profile
