Hello! I'm Katie Joy, a professional vocalist, and musician with a passion for teaching the world of music to all ages! With 12 years of dedicated study in music, including over 7 years of professional voice lessons, I possess a deep understanding of vocal techniques and musicality.

My accomplishments in the music industry speak for themselves. I have had the privilege of performing at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and have been recognized with numerous awards, including the "Excellence in Vocal Adjudication Award" during the Northeast Theatre Festival, "Singer of the Year" for the 2019 Maryland Opera Company, was accepted into and completed the prestigious Washington National Opera Institute. I also have ample choral experience as I have participated in multiple auditioned choirs such as the Baltimore All County Chorus and Jazz Choir, Maryland All-State Mixed Chorus and Treble Chorus, ACDA Voices United, and the ACDA All-Eastern Mixed Choir.

Throughout my career, I have portrayed leading roles in renowned musicals and operas, such as Cosette in Les Misérables, Sandy Dumbrowski in Grease, and many more. These experiences have honed my versatility and allowed me to master both classical and modern styles of music.

Beyond my artistic accomplishments, I have also acquired extensive academic and professional experience in the field of music. I completed my Voice Performance studies at the esteemed Eastman School of Music and I am currently pursuing a Music Business and Production degree at Belmont University. This combination of practical expertise and theoretical knowledge enables me to excel in various aspects of the music industry.

As a professional opera singer, I possess the ability to captivate audiences with my powerful and emotive performances. Moreover, my passion extends to teaching, and I can guide students in various genres, including classical, musical theater, pop, R&B, singer-songwriter, alternative, pop-rock, country, jazz, and more.
