About

I've been playing guitar since 2005. I graduated with a degree in guitar performance from McNally Smith College of Music in 2015 and have been teaching ever since! I'm currently a touring guitarist in a country music act and released solo music as a shred/metal act, with knowledge of everything in between!

Seeing the students progress! I enjoy that moment where someone has really been practicng or stuck on something and it finally "clicks" for them! Those times are what pushes us to keep working at our craft!

Adam Shea is a top notch guitar instructor for those beginners looking to learn how to play their first chord all the way to the advanced players looking to level up their playing with string skipping. He has an excellent ability to connect with his students in a way that not only elevates their playing but also elevates their love and interest in music. I would recommend Adam to everyone.

Adam is incredible! I would highly suggest taking lessons from him. He not only teaches guitar, but understand the importance of the understanding of music theory to go along with the knowledge of the fretboard and how the two intertwine. Taking lessons with Adam is a great experience for anyone wanting to learn or just hone the skills they already have and take them to the next level.

Adam tailored lessons specifically to me. He was kind enough to answer questions outside of lessons as well which was incredibly helpful. When asked questions about things that seemed foreign to me at the time, Adam went out of his way to explain parts of the equation that I hadn’t considered. I highly recommend him!
