About
I am a professional dancer, teacher, and filmmaker in Austin, TX. I've danced for Charleston Ballet Theatre, Illinois Ballet, Thel Dance Theatre as Company Manager, World Vision’s production of ‘Let It Be Christmas’ as Dance Captain, "Stealing Christmas" as Choreographer, for musical artists Meganoke, Woven Feet, NightOwls, and in commercials as a Ballet Dancer.
I've been a teacher for 8 years having taught for St. Edwards University, Ballet Austin, Zach Theatre, Tapestry Dance Company, among other studios.
I am certified in Vaganova Ballet Pedagogy on full scholarship under Ballet master John White, certified in Lester Horton technique under Ana-Marie Forsythe, and have worked with Sally Bliss of Tudor Foundation, Amanda McKerrow, Andrei Bossov, Grace Holmes, Meg Brooker, Lori Belilove, and Dawn Karlovsky.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Student questions:
What is your age?
What are your goals? Example: audition for a Broadway touring musical, improve ballet technique, or explore the possibilites of dance for the camera.
How often do you take class? What is your level placement?
What do you know you do well in? What do you know needs improvement? Example: I am really good at acting but my turns seem to be falling all over the place!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a professional dance artist with certifications in Ballet and Modern dance.

$65/hour session and/or $90/hour for choreography with $10/hour rental fee at Balance Dance Studios, 4544 South Lamar Blvd., ATX.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching in college on campus for children that lived on campus.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with beginner-advanced students ages 4-adult. Most students are working towards a professional career in the artform of theatre or dance.
