Lauren’s Drum Lessons

Lauren has extensive knowledge of Middle Eastern, Indian, and Klezmer music, and has performed with groups in all 3 genres for many years. She also performs with Indian and belly dance troops and soloists. She has written music to be performed by both musicians and dancers. In addition to hand drumming and percussion she also plays digeridoo. She has many years of experience teaching middle eastern drumming (doumbek, darbuka, frame drums) and percussion (riq, zills, finger cymbals, and tambourine). She teaches group classes and individuals. She is very good at going at the pace of the student and good at preparing students for performances.
