About this pro

MannySwims is a small swim program under the direction of Manuel "Manny" Monsante, who has over 20 years of experience teaching swimming lessons and water safety to children and adults. Lessons are offered at our home pool in Carrollton all summer (May thru September)

Having fun while I teach my students to swim. Our motto is: “Swim for fun. Swim for life." We believe that if you create an atmosphere where the student develops love and joy for the activity, they’ll want to practice and participate, thus increasing their ability level and skill in a positive way.

I LOVE the fact that my kids can have lessons at our own pool. It amazes me, each summer, how much they progress and how much they learn from Mr. Manny.

We love Manny! My daughter really looks forward to her swimming lessons each week, and Manny has always been so kind and patient with her. I would highly recommend Manny to any family who wants their children to enjoy learning to swim and being in the water!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I work with each student individually.  I specialize in teaching people to love the water as they develop the skill to be self suficient and comfortabe swimming in a safe enviortment.  Sessions usually run for 6 weeks with 1 class scheduled per week.  Chidren for 30 minutes and adult lessons are 1 hour in lenght.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Over 20 yearses of experience teaching all ages and levels for the Red Cross, YMCA ans several other swim programs and schools.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Prices depend on wether we privide the lessons at our private pool in Carrollolton or if we will travel to your pool. Private 30 min lessons start at $40 per class.

How did you get started teaching?

I began teaching in 1997 as a summer job which in time and experience began a passion and gave me a great sense of satisfaction teaching people to love this most important skill.

What types of students have you worked with?

I've worked with 6 month olds to 60 year olds and everything in between.

Swimming is a lifelong sport that is best learned early in life but teaching adults and people with disabilities is an inspiring and rewarding part of the work.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Every day in the water teaching is a joy!
