I have helped people from south Austin, Burnet, Cedar Park, Round Rock, etc. develop playing skills that will help them enjoy the piano throughout their lives. I teach from 9 am to 7 pm providing time for home school students and adults in addition to after-school lessons. Welcome! My name is Matt Germeyer, I've been teaching guitar since 2004. I've had the pleasure to play with UT Austin's Caribbean Ensemble and a local recording Rock act, The Warplanes, during my time in Austin. My style as a teacher focuses on strong fundamentals that are applicable across genres, theory, composition and technique. I started playing the piano at the age of seven and have been playing ever since. Primarily a classical pianist I am always thankful for the incredible repertoire that we enjoy as pianists. The depth of compositions from over the past five centuries is a truly wonderful thing. As a freelance pianist I do also play many other styles of music from jazz to pop but classical music is closest to my heart.
