About this pro

I employ the Swedish-Italian method of vocal production as laid out by pedagogue David Jones. His method, compiled from the last old masters, utilize pharyngeal vowels for healthy vocal production. I travel to New York City for intensive seminars with David Jones and study with one of his longtime students here in Dallas.

Giving students the positive encouragement and all the tools they need for optimal and healthy vocal production. Singers have the most personal and intimate of instruments - it is literally our voice. It’s such a beautiful thing to watch singers make strides in expressing their voice.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Singing excercises to assess the areas that need to be worked on, then using specific excercises that are tailored to those needs.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I went to the University of North Texas to study music and continue my studies with a private teacher here in Dallas. I also go to NYC twice a year to take lessons and go to vocal pedagogy seminars with my teacher's teacher.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Yes, I offer 30, 45 and 60 minute lessons at $40, $55, and $70.

How did you get started teaching?

I've been a professional singer for over fifteen years, but It was my current teacher who was the first one to encourage me to teach, after I expressed a love for the tiny technical details. Two and a half months later I was on a plane to NYC for my first seminar with his teacher and within five months of that, I was teaching full time.

What types of students have you worked with?

Every type - from complete beginners who think they can't carry a tune to professional, performing singers.
