About this pro

I specialize in the anatomical foundations of healthy vocal technique without regard to genre, and vocal technique diagnostics, allowing me to assess exactly what adjustments we can make to improve a student's vocal quality.

I can stylistically coach many genres including pop, musical theater, jazz, rock, opera and more.

I can also teach ear training and music theory for singing/sight singing from sheet music.

I love how every student has a completely different and inidivual puzzle, and discovering how each piece of that puzzle works for the student.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Singing excercises to assess the areas that need to be worked on, then using specific excercises that are tailored to those needs.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I went to the University of North Texas to study music and continue my studies with a private teacher here in Dallas. I also go to NYC twice a year to take lessons and go to vocal pedagogy seminars with my teacher's teacher.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Yes, I offer 30, 45 and 60 minute lessons at $40, $55, and $70.

How did you get started teaching?

I've been a professional singer for over fifteen years, but It was my current teacher who was the first one to encourage me to teach, after I expressed a love for the tiny technical details. Two and a half months later I was on a plane to NYC for my first seminar with his teacher and within five months of that, I was teaching full time.

What types of students have you worked with?

Every type - from complete beginners who think they can't carry a tune to professional, performing singers.
