I am based in Cincinnati and I specialize in technique diagnostics for singing. With my help, you can cultivate a healthy and sustainable singing voice. We'll first focus on the basic foundations of your practice, helping you to become more confident in your vocal range and bring richness to the expression of your lyrics. Over time, with proper technique and modulated effort, these changes will lead to a dramatic reduction in vocal fatigue and an increased trust in the capabilities of your instrument. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Singing excercises to assess the areas that need to be worked on, then using specific excercises that are tailored to those needs. Coaching songs by not only involving the technique from exercises, but finding the emotion in the singing. How do you tell the story in the lyrics? What vocal colors are you able to use to portray those emotions?
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied both jazz and classical voice in college, have experience with jazz/pop choirs, early music ensembles, church music, professional choirs, opera, rock/blues/jazz cover bands, and have worked professionally as a gigging singer for over a decade. I am currently in multiple professional choirs and a blues cover band. I study vocal technique and pedagogy with the famed David Jones, have studied voice with Jane Monheit among others, and go to countless masterclasses and workshops to improve both my teaching and my singing.

Yes, I offer 30, 45 and 60 minute lessons at $40, $55, and $70. And lots of available discounts for packages and subscriptions!
How did you get started teaching?
I've been a professional singer for over fifteen years, but It was my current teacher who was the first one to encourage me to teach, after I expressed a love for the tiny technical details. Two and a half months later I was on a plane to NYC for my first seminar with his teacher and within five months of that, I was teaching full time.
What types of students have you worked with?
Every type - from complete beginners who think they can't carry a tune to professional, performing singers.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Take a lesson with more than one teacher before making a decision.
