About
Seeing my students grow in musical knowledge makes me excited as a teacher! I seek to help them develop the best the can to become prominent musicians.
I've been drumming over 28 years, and have wrote a percussion book titled "Rudimental Chemistry". I also am endorsed with the "Salyers Percussion" drum company. I've worked with multiple schools, sent students off to college with strong scholarship opportunities. I also currently work with the Junior Players, and Urban Dreams Music & Arts non profit organizations here in Dallas. You can follow me on Instagram @rhythms4life_

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin our lesson with having them play a few things to see where they currently are with their playing level. I then introduce them to some of the basics on the instrument so that they can move at their own pace. I keep it fun and engaging!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've studied music at Langston University
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $25-for a 30 minute lesson
I then charge $50-for an hour lesson
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching working with my high school Drumline. After years of assisting the head drum instructor I went on to teach Drumset at a few different music schools here in the Dallas area.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students ranging from age 4-50 years old.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently I had a student who had been telling me that they were having a hard time keeping up with the rest of the drummers at their school. Then after working with me, it'd become much more comfortable because learning and playing was now fun and easy.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be sure to have patience and the readiness to grow while also having fun!
